ABOUT
A DoP WHO GETS IT DONE ANYWHERE
Ian Watts is a BAFTA and Grierson award-winning Director of Photography, working across factual, documentary, history, crime, music and arts films for more than three decades. He has worked with all major UK broadcasters — BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky — alongside international networks including National Geographic, the Oprah Winfrey Network, Paramount, Discovery, Smithsonian and NASA.
He brings sympathy and understanding to whoever he is filming, and is equally at home creating beautiful images in difficult conditions and capturing the once-only shot when there is no second take.
“Ian's a fantastic cameraman with an amazing eye — always offering options, which is great when you're working under pressure.”
Mark Soldinger — Founder, Firecracker Films
